Our client based in N. Baltimore County, MD has been a hugely successful B2C & B2B company and adding additional businesses at a rapid rate! So the growth and internal promotions has created an immediate job opportunity for an experienced Corporate Controller! This individual should be a seasoned, results-oriented professional. Reporting to the CFO, the controller will be responsible for accounting and finance functions including general accounting, financial planning & analysis, internal controls, and negotiations.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter who enjoys working in a dynamic environment where they can make a significant impact. This role will work closely with the CFO and requires exceptional leadership and analytical skills overseeing a staff of 12.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day accounting department operations while ensuring dual coverage of all functions; serve as backup on critical functions
  • Ensure month end financial close and reporting in accordance with established timelines
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packages
  • Perform due diligence and oversee integration of acquisitions
  • Drive efficiencies, automation and accuracy in the department
  • Design and develop complex financial models
  • Deliver data-driven financial insights to management on a regular basis
  • Lead the company’s strategic planning and budgeting process
  • Develop metrics and operational dashboards to meet business objectives
  • Facilitate the implementation of a new accounting software
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
Basic Qualifications 
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA strongly preferred
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing setting would be a big plus!
  • Eight years of accounting experience coming from a 
  • M&A experience required
  • MBA is a plus
  • Ability to adapt, prioritize and execute in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams
  • Excellent financial analysis, forecasting and modeling skills
  • Strong leadership skills
